It was all a dream anyway.
IT IS TO BE OVER. EVEN IF THEY COME BACK, THEY ARE 1,000,000,000 LIGHTYEARS FROM THE WAY THEY USE TO PLAY. JUST THE FIRST 5 MINUTES OF 5/5/79 IS BETTER THAN THE LAST 4 TOURS PUT TOGETHER.

There I was in Seattle for the E.M.P. More Drama tour August of 2005. I could not of been more up for it aaand another big Yes letdown. Me thinks it may be over. What say you Wurm,LittlGeoff, anyone?
Oops. The vodka gets in my eye some nights. I remember dragging my Led Zep fiend buddy to this show. He was a skeptic. At the end of the show he turned to me and said it was better than that Zep show in the Kingdome, which is legendary. I wallowed in smug pride for my favourite band. I also vividly remember listening patiently to two old vets {ushers} commenting to each other that this band was one of the good ones. When I finally interrupted the two old hunchbacks to ask directions they just stared at me. I think my pupils may have been a little dilated. I have seen all of the big shows {that have mattered since} Thousands and thousands chasing the sound, the vibe. Only a few have come close, but not by much. I was there I am The Tormato Tour Survivor!

I was making reference to yanns statement that they were too out of control. Yann was making it like a negative. I wasn't refering to your statement about Chris and Alan being out of control. you were using it in a positive way. You thought Yann was telling you that you're mistaking out of control with pandamonium. It's me WURM telling Yann he's wronggggggggggggggg.

.The others being the kinks and genesis.Chris and Alan were almost out of control.KIller killer sound arrayed three sixty.The lineup does not work without rick to my tastes.

I just got a wonderful 2-CD recording from the Tormato tour, and it caused me to really want to know the answer to a question I've had for a while. What songs off of Tormato were played live?
The set is called Tourmato (Part 1 + 2), released by Silver Rarities, and the sound quality is quite excellent!! This sounds about as good as Yesshows for most of it. The mix is just right, with Steve's guitar nice and up front. The hiss isn't bad at all for the most part, and the crowd noise is only noticable between tracks.
The performace is absolutely great. Steve, Chris, and Rick all play fabulously, and do enough bits differently from the studio to keep me excited.
There is an unfortunate edit between Long Distance Runaround and The Fish, cutting out some guitar work by Steve, but other than that, I love it! I had been wanting a good recording of a Tormato show for a while, and here it is!
On And You And I, in The Preacher The Teacher section, they have the harmonica sound, like in the live version from the '88 tour on the boxed set. This brings up another question: who plays the harmonica? Jon is singing, so it can't be him. Steve is playing at the time, too, so that leaves Rick, Chris, and Alan. Anyone know?

Maybe it was just me, but I thought the performances on _Tourmato_ sounded tired and irritable, as if presaging the Paris sessions. Wakeman is farting around more than usual, espesially stomping on Howe's solo in "Wurm," even though they're supposed to be trading bars. In other places, it sounds to me as if the band is out of control. My lasting impression of _Tourmato_ is how dissolute the performances seemed to have become in six months.
