Dick Alberty:

Hitch hiked down rt 495 from Berlin Mass. Picked up by chick from Shahiro Japanese resturant on Rt 62 on Berlin/Hudson Mass line to Civic Cntr In Providence,RI. Had floor seats. Ended up in front of stage in front of Chris. Had this young chick on my shoulders almost whole show. Her and her girlfriend were very very nice & alot of fun.
What a wild show. Band was tight & laid music out in typical YES fasion. Wakeman was still with them. Cant believe its been almost 30 years since then. My girfriend Mary Stewart from Hudson missed this show. I Get Up , Iget down....... goose bumbs...
After the girls & I parted ways I hitched back to Berlin & got a ride all the way home from Providence. I was hitching in wrong direction to boot. Concert was fantastic. wish I could remember the chicks name that was on my shoulders. WOW!!!

Barry Rogoff:

Donovan opened for Yes.

The Providence 77 show was a real trip. I had somehow gotten fifth row seats and was ready to be transported to heaven. But when it started, some morons in the front row decided to stand up on their rickety chairs so everyone else on the whole damned floor had to stand up on rickety chairs, including yours truly, who was trying to shoot photographs through a telephoto lens. (A friend was running the deck for me.) To make things worse, the security let everyone flood down the aisles and around the stage so it was a lot like a general admission concert.

Towards the end of the show, I had run out of film and was watching through binoculars. Jon nudged Chris and pointed at me, laughing at the crazy guy who just couldn't see enough Yes up close.
